Bushing “O” Rings . . .

Took Brian’s advice and ordered these bushings “O” rings. While not difficult to install on the bushings, installing the bushings with the rings attached proved challenging . . . I don’t know if I can give a high rating to them since an adequate torquing of the bushings appeared to suffice. The bottom line, nice but not necessary in one man’s opinion.

A close look at these O-rings before installation showed no flaws such as nicks or uneven proportions. They fit the grip bushings properly and tolerated mechanical stress from bushing torque to specification without apparent disintegration, as I have seen occur with some lesser-quality O-rings.

I was skeptical since I had never seen them on another pistol. On an aluminum frame you need to be absolute when it comes to torque. You use a washer when installing most hardware screws, it only makes sense to use these. They allow you to precisely torque the bushings without overtightening. When stressed they allow for a bit of stability that you can feel after they are installed.
