Proper length for mounting full thickness grips and slim grips not less than 0.185" thick.
To prevent loose screws, use our Grip Screw O-rings.

Classic Blue Grip Screws a Classic

I’ve been building 1911’s for many years and have tried a variety of classic blue, slotted grip screws. The Challis grip screws are the best I’ve found in terms of metal strength, depth of the blue color and thread quality. They don’t easily scratch or deform, even after repeated turns with a hardened screw driver. The threads hold their shape very well against any normal tightening in steel or aluminum grip screw bushings. They add that classic look to any 1911 build with wood or G10 grips. A fine grip screw I highly recommend.

These are better screws than originals in springfield fron the 1980's! Finish excellent, make sure to use hollow ground screw driver. Bought slim bushings and o rings for bushings and grip screws. Excellent system, high quality parts. Great tools as well. T bar bushing removal tool is awesome!
