Extreme duty grip screws. Made of good carbon steel, our grip screws have been case hardened for proper hardness and toughness. then treated with a black oxide finish. Sized to work with both our full size and slim bushings (they will not work with slim grips that have a shallow top counterbore). When used with our Hex Drive Bushing system, we recommend they be installed with 5 in/lbs of torque.

The 1911, a work horse that has been reeltively unchanged in design for over one hundred years. Sure there have been several modifications and add ones that have improved the overall feel of the pistol.
Grips screws a rather common piece of hardware. While these screws are essentially the same that have been produced for a century, the quality of the hardware is unmatched. Many other maker's screws have machine marks from production. Not the Challis hardware. The attention to detail Challis brings to the forefront is unmatched.
