Frame Repair Tap

Used to repair stripped grip bushing. Repaired at kitchen table using a tap handle from my standard tap set. Tap and oversized bushing worked exactly as advertised. I am very pleased with this grip system.

I normally dont leave reviews but was so blown away with the quality of the Challis products I had to say something. My son bought a brand new Kimber custom LW pistol on Tuesday and when we were disassembling it we found that 2 of the grip bushings were stripped from the factory. Not wanting to deal with Kimber customer service and the wait times that go with it. I went ahead and ordered a set of oversized bushings, tap, and tap guide from Challis. Ordered on Wed and at my door Sat. The Challis tap did an amazing job of cutting and tapping some of the most beautiful threads I've ever seen. Everything turned out perfectly. Who would have thought something like this was even available. As a grip maker, this too is invaluable.

These tap work perfectly. If your going to put in new bushings, get the right sized tap.
