Easy to install and remove. Loctite is not necessary. Use 7/32" nut driver or socket. If using a torque driver, 18 in-lbs is recommended for both steel and aluminum frames. These full size bushings will work with grips not less than 0.245" thick....

I have installed the hex drive bushing system on all of my 1911 pistols for the simple fact that they are a superior product. The attention to detail and finish is second to none. I will never have to worry about the normal problems associated with old style bushings again. Used in conjunction with the grip screw and bushing O rings, the grip panel is sucked down tight against the frame giving it a very secure and cushioned resting place. I highly recommend this product and will continue to upgrade new pistols to this system.

Great product! Easy to install. Way better than the traditional grip screws! I really like it!

But . . . What took you so long to come up with this product innovation?

Very nice upgrade for my Colt New Agent .45 with Crimson Trace grips. Gun came with thin grips and thin bushings so the thin bushings had to be replaced with big ones to mount the CT grips. It's a shame that they're hidden under the grips.

Best bushings for a 1911, hands down. Using a socket to install and remove bushings is far smoother, easier and more reliably than a flat head. All 1911s should come with these.
