I purchased these bushings in the midst of changing from slim line grips to regular size thickness grips. The Dan Wesson I have had the VZ bushings installed which stripped out easily. I removed those VZ bushings and easily installed these ones from Challis. Brian was a huge help. A great American business!

ingenious as an allen bolt

First off, I know a grip screw bushing seems like a small item to be worried about, but when I ordered my ATI 1911, there was 3 different types of bushings installed. Challis was highly recommended online, and I see why. The design is far above the standard slotted head and the o-ring slot is a great idea. I got them in the mail today and installed immediately. And now, why I say AWESOME COMPANY...1 bushing was out of spec. Screw wouldn't seat (bad internal threads?). So I called, and guess what, A PERSON ANSWERED! Brian was sad to hear I had a problem and said he's gonna get me a replacement out right away. Challis Grips in my opinion makes a great product and they care about their customers. I will be telling my 1911 friends about Challis Grips. If you read through this, great, now order it already, you wont be disappointed!

These are great bushings. Have them on 3 of my Colt LW Commanders. The customer service is also first rate.
