Easy to install and remove. Loctite is not necessary. Use 7/32" nut driver or socket. If using a torque driver, 18 in-lbs is recommended for both steel and aluminum frames. These full size bushings will work with grips not less than 0.245" thick....

I own several 1911s. These are must for anyone planning on changing grips and on every one I own. You’ll never have another stripped bushing again and you’ll no the exact torque specs to install; which is imperative on aluminum frames.

Pros:
Cons:
The Challis bushings are hands-down the absolute best 1911 bushings in existence.

-No more risk of tool slippage resulting in scratched/gouged frames.

-No more stress related moments when swapping grip bushings.

-A common 7/32" nut driver or socket is all that's required to install these bushings.

From this point forward, I'll use the Challis bushings whenever I need to replace damaged or defective bushings.
