It’s been said before but Challis bushings should be the industry standard. No special tools required, little chance of cross threading, feels not as soft as others. Buy once. Buy right. Buy here.
By far the best solution for the old style slotted 191 bushings. I'll never use anything but the Challis hex bushing again.
To date I have replaced all of my (Shooter) 1911 bushing with Brian's Hex Drive Bushing's If You like a good Grip to bushing fit these are the only way to go When using the O-Rings with these bushings You never have to worry about a sloppy fit and the screws never come loose I won,t ever use any other kind of bushing The really cool thing about them is they can be changed from slims to standards in minuets so You'll always find the right fit
Fit perfectly in terms of threading and height. Being able to obtain the correct height ensured the best fit, allowing the grips to rest flush against the frame, as they should. The hex drive made installation much easier than when dealing with bushings that use a slotted drive, and they fit the drive head with no trouble at all, which says they were machined to proper tolerances. They did not display any rounding or blemishing after being torqued to correct specifications, which helps to show that they are made of good quality material.
These are a must have when replacing bushings in your 1911. All of mine are equipped with these!!
