These Slim bushings for my 1911 are absolutely perfect and very high quality. All 1911s should come factory equipped with Challis bushings. My Springfield Loaded had to be heated to get the factory installed bushings out due to thread locker. I read numerous posts stating Springfield doesn’t use thread lock but I can assure you they do. But I took my time heating slowly and only turning screwdriver till resistance was felt then heat again till the locker turns soft. Anyone can do it just go slow and be patient took several times heating and turning. With the Challis bushings there’s no need for threadlock. Very satisfied customer.

Challis bushings and O-rings are made with excellent quality and are extremely useful in converting the standard 1911 bushing to a more "manageable" system. The heads were breaking off of my oem screws so I ordered the slotted ones from Challis and also their slim bushings, already had the removal tool and O-rings. Removal and reinstall was quick and easy. Very fast shipping as always.
