I've used Challis bushings and rings for a couple of years now. There just isn't a comparable product anywhere. The bushings and rings protect your valuable custom grips from damage resulting from the constant hammering upon firing. As an added plus, they keep your grips tightly screwed down relieving you of having to re-tighten them after every range trip.



I also chose to buy the bushing extractor - what a time saver! I had been heating each bushing with a soldering iron to soften the Loctite most manufacturers use. Generally, it takes 5 or 6 minutes per bushing. Considering the setup time, you're looking at 10 minutes per - 40 minutes to change all 4. The Challis bushing extractor makes that a quick and easy job - maybe 5 minutes to remove all 4. Time is money and this extractor saves both.

Challis Grips is a great company to deal with. Product, presentation, communication and delivery are excellent.

1911 bushings are the best. Easy to install/uninstall with very minimal chance of thread damage.

I also used the oversize bushing tap and oversize bushings.
