I just converted 5 1911's with standard thickness grips to SLIM. That meant pulling off the OEM bushings. The Challis tool for removing standard bushing is something EVERYONE who owns a 1911 should add to the tool box. Removing the OEM bushing was a snap, installing the Challis HEX (yes HEX) bushing with my HEX driver was a snap. Add to the project great O-rings for the BUSHING AND GRIPS (2 types - do it right), and I was done with ALL 5 in 20 minutes. The slim bushing fit perfect with LOK and VZ grips. Thanks for the innovation guys!!

The Slim Bushings worked great Springfield Armory & thin Stoner grips. I however could not get the bushing O rings to work with these grips. The grip screw O rings worked great as well. Wonderful bushings.
