I purchased the items described above for the purpose of changing out the slotted slim grip screw bushings I had previously installed in four of my high-end 1911s. The process was flawless from start to finish. Now I can change grips on my 1911s without the worry of damaging the grip screw bushings/stripping out the threads in the frame. It's hard to imagine that it took someone over 100 years to come up with a foolproof design that makes it possible to easily change out grip screw bushings on the 1911. Thank you, Mr. Challis!

Well thought out and solid, I mount these on every pistol I own. I remove my 1911 stocks every time I clean my pistols, almost every used pistol I have purchased has had some rust underneath the grips. I absolutely love Challis grip screws and slim bushings, I feel a great deal of confidence in their construction & performance.

I like slim grips, VZ's G10 slim grips in particular....So I bought some of these Challis slim stainless steel bushings along with the Challis bushing and grip screw "O Rings". Everything fit like a glove and installation was very simple. The VZ grip screws that I ordered also worked perfect with the Challis system so not worries there. These are an excellent upgrade to any 1911 handgun and I highly recommend them-Nice work Challis!
