The perfect tool for bushing removal! It's pretty much idiot proof!! And more importantly it's an insurance policy for your frame(s).

I hesitated to buy it just because I was nearly broke... but glad I did and sure it will get used many times in the future, as I change my 1911's over to slim bushings and stocks.

Dan Wesson puts some serious Loctite on their grip bushings and I couldn't get them out with a screwdriver. The Challis tool worked great. I have the Challis grip bushings on all my 1911's.

Definitely Worth It

I tried removing the bushings on a Nighthawk and a Colt with the tool that you can purchase from Brownells and it failed. I purchased this tool and was able to remove the bushings from both guns with no issues at all. I simply followed the directions and was done in about 15 minutes. Definitely worth the purchase if you plan on changing your bushings.

Does as it should with complete reliability.

I tried using a proper sized flat head screwdriver to remove my factory bushings and the first one I attempted came right out. Now the next 3 weren't coming out so easily. I've stripped and mangled enough bolts and nuts in my time to know when not to push it. After receiving the Challis bushing remover it made short work of those stuck and starting to strip bushings. Thanks again for a great product.
