Slotted bushings are notorious for stripping and requiring desperate measures that risk frame damage. This tool eliminates nearly all the risk of damaging a bushing during removal. Staked, loctite, whatever. This tool will allow you to remove the bushings.

Makes easy work of a iffy job

Getting bushings out can be a hit or miss proposition but not with this tool. Very frustration free. The right tool makes the job much easier!

Makes life easier for the 1911 owner.

Instead of hassling too much with the grip bushings, I bought the tool to make extraction easier. Went from pulling teeth to pulling Daisy pedals it seems. Innovative, simple, easy, quick, and necessary if you want all of the former in one package at an efficient price.

MARVEL of SIMPLICITY!

Just great to use a tool that’s of such obvious quality and does

EXACTLY what it’s supposed to.

One of those, “why didn’t I think of that?” items.

Thanks Challis.

By design the 1911 bushing is a softer metal than the frame as it is supposed to be sacrificial. They break easily. Compounding this issue is that many manufacturers use an adhesive (lock-tite-like) and even if you do use the proper squared blade... they break. Then you are well and truly screwed. That is... until Challis invented these magical little tools. Thanks you for this. The price is right (keeps you out of the gunsmith's) and these guys shipped it out on a SATURDAY. Thanks again.
