Having already ruined the slots on two grip screw bushings, I was about to resort to vise grips. I’m glad I didn’t because your tool removed them very nicely even though they were damaged. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you.

I don't know why I didn't buy one of these years ago...makes the task SO much easier.

I picked up a Springfield Loaded 1911 that I wanted to switch over to slim grips. The stock bushings were damn near WELDED in place with a gallon of loctite. Lots of heat, patience, and this full size bushing extractor saved the day. I’d recommend this for anyone who likes to work on 1911s, even if your bushings aren’t stubborn. A+

This tool worked as advertised to remove the slotted OEM bushings on my Colt. However, on gold platted bushings ordered through the Amazon website, this tool did not work. The tool's engagement blades were too thick to fit the slot openings on those gold plated bushings.

Or you can take the view, the gold plated bushing slots were too narrow to allow the tool's engagement blades to fit properly.
