I am not a fan of tools that do only one thing, unless they do that thing better than any other tool by a very wide margin. This is one of those tools. I had all four bushings out in about 2 minutes. Is it worth the money? Yes, yes it is.

I can't say enough about the usefulness of this tool. A few months ago, I had to pay a gunsmith to remove the mashed bushings off a new, custom 1911 with loctited and over-torqued bushings which it took very little to damage using a traditional bushing wrench.

I purchased another expensive 1911 and before even trying, I ordered this tool, which Challis sent out lightning fast. As it happened, this one was also very tight and loctited. The Challis bushing extractor easily removed them with no effort and no damage to the bushings.
