The Challis bushing removal tool worked like a charm! It made short work of some seriously tight bushings. Super simple, ingenious design that is easy to use. Well worth the money.

If you do any work on 1911 grip bushings you MUST have this tool! Removing grip bushings is a breeze with no problems. I removed eight staked bushings from a pair of Colt Gold Cups 1911's and there was minimal drama when I had to pull up on the extractor to engage the threads after I had broken the staked bushings loose. Then it was just a matter of carefully chasing the threads with a 0.236"-60 tpi RH tap.

This is an essential tool!

Excellent product. Easily removed staked bushings, including the one I mangled with a screwdriver. A must have.
