This tool is a must have if you are planning to remove bushings. Even if joust to be used once. It is cheaper than scratching the frame or a trip to the ER with a screwdriver through your hand.

I previously used a method to remove bushings that, while I incurred no cash cost, the time was extensive. What took me 15 or 20 minutes per bushing - unless I got lucky - was reduced to less than 5 minutes to do all 4. Don't waste your precious time. If you own as many 1911's as I do, and even quite a few less, it is worth the small investment. Nothing anywhere in the marketplace comes close!

Bought both the slim and standard version of this tool. I am a machinist by trade so metal working is no foreign object to me. I tried removing a bushing with just a screwdriver and without much effort it started to distort. I then stopped and bought these. Popped every locktite'd bushing out, even the marred up one with ease. I don't usually write reviews, but this tool is a must for anyone looking to swap grip bushings.
