this extractor is a high quality tool. I used my heat gun for a few seconds, attached the extractor and inserted the handle and backed the old bushing right out. worth every penny!

This tool works!

Pros:
Cons:
Having over tightened a grip screw into a grip busing and everything being small scale naturally I destroyed the existing bushing. The concern then becomes to not strip the grip's bore threads when removing the remaining bushings. This is where the Challis bushing removal tool worked just as designed and as advertised. The extra torque was slowly applied and the remaining bushings yielded easily despite evidence of locktite. The tool itself is precisely manufactured and an engineering tribute to problem solving.

Very helpful

Getting bushings out can be a hit or miss proposition but not with this tool. Very frustration free. The right tool makes the job much easier!

Wonderfully safe and secure way to remove the thin original bushings.

Pros:
Cons:
Used the Challis bushing tool to remove original slim bushings mounted tight to frame with Loctite. Absolute control of the tool to bushing with no way for anything to slip. Easy to add the required torque... again with no chance anything would slip.

May not need the tool very often, but the only way to remove tight OEM bushings.

Worked just as intended

Removed the bushing from my 1911 with ease, simple to use and fast. Best part is no slipping with screwdrivers or pliers. Would definitely recommend++
