I tried to remove slim grip bushings on a new 1911 so I could install regular sized grips. Using a properly fitting screw driver, two of the bushing started to strip out. I ordered the regular and the slim bushing extractor. I used the slim extractor, and easily removed both of the stuck bushings with no further problems. Fantastic tool that I wish I had a long time ago. It saved me an expensive trip to the gunsmith.
