I was having trouble removing and then replacing standard bushings on a SA 1911 pistol. I bought the Full size Extractor to remove the bushings.....Awesome! And then I bought the Slim Extractor to install VZ's universal bushings for thin 1911 grips. Unfortunately, VZ uses a very narrow channel. So this product will not work with the VZ Universal bushings. However, I do not find this to be a problem with the Challis product, but rather VZ's standard on their own bushing. I contacted VZ and they use a ground down flat head screw driver to install this particular bushing. I think that explains things. I still recommend this product! Just check the sizing of the bushing channel.

I am a firm believer in having the correct tool for the task at hand.

This is without a doubt an excellent quality tool that saves time and makes the job simple without destroying the old bushings. A very good investment.

It's a tool that every 1911 enthusiast needs to have in their tool box. Great product.
