Solved my grip screw depth problem

Pros:
Cons:
I replaced the factory grips on my S&W 1911 with a set of VZ Slim profile, and I swapped to the recommended VZ bushings and screws. At first they seem to work fine, but I noticed the grips became a bit loose after first few ranges trips, so I tightened the screws...and they protruded past the inside frame and were dragging on the magazine. I tough about trimming the VZ screws, but it seemed like a PIA. The Challis screws, although the exact same length as the VZ screws, have a thicker base and do not go as deep into the grips as the VZ screws. Problem solved. The head of the screw sits a little higher on the grip than the VZ, but now the magazines drop freely while still anchoring the grips tightly to the frame.
