Like many people I have messed up the threads on my 1911 frame, using the old fashioned bushings. This tool allowed me to quickly and easily tap all 4 holes and install Challis' outstanding hex drive bushings, along with their O rings and grip screws. This tap (when using the guide) made a perfect repair for my stripped out aluminum frame. It was a high end 1911 that I bought used.
